I've been quilting since 1997 (mostly book taught), and live in
Cincinnati.
My real love is hand applique.
This is a library quilt I made 3 years ago as a Christmas present
for my sister. She was especially pleased, since she hadn't seen
many of the pictures I included in it. There is also a postcard
she sent me while vacationing in San Diego; it was printed to
fabric and appliqued as though they are peeking out of the "wicker"
basket. This was a fun one to do,
following instructions in Wendy Etzel's The Collectibles Quilt.

I was determined I wanted a grandfather clock quilt, but no pattern
was available. After visiting several stores, I decided there
were so many styles of such clocks, there was no "wrong"
way to design one myself! This quilt was completed in January,
1999. The clock face has a tiny inscription,
"Kramer Fine Timepieces," which I wrote with black Pigma
pen.
